As I reflect over the past 24 days that preschool children have attended school for this year, I am amazed and impressed with your children.  They are learning the classroom routines, they have visited with Dina, Molly and Wally from Dinosaur School and have practiced a fire and tornado drill.  This has been a busy 24 days for preschool children.  During the next several weeks the children will travel to the pumpkin patch to select just the right pumpkin.  They will have conversations about the great pumpkin and estimate how many seeds are inside their pumpkin.  The children have practiced bus and pedestrian safety and will have a chance to practice as they leave the school for their first field trip.  Parents, you are welcome to follow the bus and enjoy the pumpkin patch.  Payment for entry and to purchase a pumpkin will be the responsibility of the parents.  The preschool child’s entry and pumpkin will be paid for by the program and with a donation from Thomson PTAC group.

We are still taking registrations for the Play and Learn group.  The group meets at Thomson on Tuesday and Thursday morning, and enjoys socializing and playing with their new friends.  The age group for Play and Learn is infant through 3 years of age.  If you are interested in signing up, please ask at the front office.

Parent teacher conferences for preschool will be the second week of November.  Please watch for communication from your child’s teacher.

Thank you for sending your child to Thomson for preschool, a 4 star Colorado Shines program.  If you have questions feel free to stop by the office or call me at 970-467-7076.
