Preschool Students Learn About Snowflakes

Preschool children in Ms. Valles and Ms. Dominguez's classroom have been learning about snowflakes and experimented with different materials to create their own snowflakes. They used pretzels and learned about textures of hard versus soft, salty versus sweet and marshmallows that were sticky and soft. Thomson Primary helps stock shelves for New Hope's Food Bank!

Thank you, Thomson Primary! We collected roughly 1,000 items to stock the shelves at New Hope's food bank! Congratulations to the class winners: Johns, Pharr, and Gordanier. The first graders had a great time taking over items before Thanksgiving. It was a great experience and some of the kids got to talk to those they were helping.   READ MORE...

So the students got to play “angry birds” where the students built and building and then had the opportunity to throw and knock down the building! Hurricane Irma Donations

During the month of September, first and second grade collected pennies to donate to a classroom in Texas impacted by Hurricane Harvey. However, all of the classrooms in Texas had been adopted, so we decided to help a classroom impacted by Hurricane Irma in Florida. Thus, we adopted at kindergarten classroom at Shadowlawn Elementary in Naples, Fl. Naples is where Irma made landfall in September. The classroom sustained water damage as a result or Hurricane Irma. We hope that our donation will help the students at Shadowlawn regain a sense of normalcy and assist them in rebuilding their classroom.   READ MORE...

No School For Kindergarten - November 10th

On Friday, November 10 we will be cancelling Kindergarten classes due to a lack of available qualified substitutes in our district. Our Kindergarten teachers will all be attending a math training in Sterling that is necessary to implement a statewide math initiative required through the Colorado Department of Education.  READ MORE...

Wish for Wheels

Thomson Primary School and Brush School District were honored to be part of the "Pedal on the Plains" 3 day event that included a stop in Brush as part of their bike route. Further, Wish for Wheels and Anadarko selected our 1st grade class to receive their very own bike and helmet as part of their promotion to encourage young riders to explore the fun of biking.  READ MORE...
